Her most well-known work is her character Ashley Banks on the sitcom The Fresh Prince of Bel Air. When she was just four, she began singing, and she got a taste of fame when she asked her mother to invite her to audition on Sesame Street. She began acting as a regular performer in 1985 when she was a six year aged child on Sesame Street, a PBS children's program. She appeared in a variety of Broadway shows in New York City, including Fences (with James Earl Jones and later Billy Dee Williams) and Orfeo del Campo (off-Broadway). She was just seven when she won Star Search. She received the rating of four stars when she returned for the second time.
