Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian music producer and singer. She began her career in the early 1990s. was described as moving into "lo-fi R&B" to futuristic dance-pop,[4] and has incorporated influence from electronic music, hip hop, as well as rock. Her lyrics often touch on gender issues and science fiction. Five studio albums have been made available by the group. Growing up in Vancouver (later shifting to Montreal), Grimes began performing her music from the mid-2000s onwards, releasing two albums, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa, in 2010 via Arbutus Records. Following her contracting with 4AD and gaining popularity with Visions which was her third album on the studio. Visions contains the singles "Genesis," and "Oblivion", which was awarded The Juno Award of the Canadian Music Industry for Electronic Album of the Years. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, was released in the year 2015. Numerous publications praised it as one of the greatest albums. 6. Her fifth studio album, Miss Anthropocene, was launched in the year 2020. Grimes has also been an actor and judge on Alter Ego's competitions for music, played a part as singer for Cyberpunk 2077 which was released in 2020.
